It’s Janeway Tuesday! I hope your dash is post after post of this adorable Captain! I mean LOOK AT HER!
So I’m from Phoenix (shout out to Phoenix! Woohoooo!!!) and I try to make it to the Phoenix Comicon every year. My ex-husband has been involved with it since its infancy, and it used to be our favorite part of the year! We alternated who got to pick out the costumes — I think it goes without saying that on my years we always went as Janeway and Chakotay.
ANYWAY he called me today to inform me that the Phoenix Comicon is hosting a geek speed dating situation this year, and suggested we reprise our roles as the captain and commander just to mess with people. It’s probably going to happen. I mean, what better way to spend my time than speed dating just to end up with my ex-husband again? GOT ME THINKING THOUGH. What if… Janeway and Chakotay DID enter into something similar?! If someone at the comicon made us take personality tests and then matched us up with our perfect matches, I’d no doubt be paired with my ex-husband. (Which is fine — there was a reason we got married, after all, and a reason we got divorced!) Buuuuut Janeway would no doubt be paired with Chakotay, also. Do you see where I’m going with this, tumblr…?
Someone write a goddamn story because we all know I can’t! Starfleet speed dating. :D Yes?!
In Delta Quadrant as some cheesy party Tom Paris thinks up or in the Alpha Quadrant as Phoebe signs up Kathryn without her knowing. They arrive and now Kathryn can’t back out. B’elanna convinces Chakotay to give it a try because she’s sick of him moping around about Janeway (even though he denies it she can see it in his eyes)
Some write this please!
There is a version of something similar out there. Janeway and Chakotay find out that Starfleet keeps personality profiles to decide who to assign to crews, etc. They find out that Starfleet never would have put J and C on the same ship in that command structure because they were the perfect match for romantic attachment. I can’t remember the name of the story, but maybe somebody else does. (My memory sucks. Anyone who knows me will back me up. I miss my mind.)
So want that story if anyone finds it.
